Model A (and similar models)

The Model A is the first in our "Organic" series of amplifiers. It features the same circuitry as our GK59 model which is a 60 watt El-34 powered master volume design. The clean sound is chimey and "liquid" with plenty of high end sparkle, sort of "3D" in charachter. In moderate overdrive the sound is crunchy yet not harsh with lots of harmonic detail and touch sensitivity, very "Sweet". In high gain territory the sound is fluid and harmonically rich with beautiful overtones and sustain while still retaining the tonality of the lower gain input.

These amps clean up very well with the guitar volume pot with a nice and gradual gain structure. Every guitar we have plugged into this amp performs wonderfully- retaining each guitars unique sonic character at every setting without overbearing amp coloration to blanket the original tone.

This circuit design has evolved much over the last many years to become what we consider to be an extremely versatile and yet unique tube guitar amplifier.

The GK59 (vintage style) and Aviator heads sells for $3,500 USD and matching cab sells for $1200; The Model A or "organic" wood series heads sell for $4000 USD and the matching cab sells for $1500.

We require a down payment of $1,000 USD before beginning a new build.

Our first custom "signature" model was built for Nashville session player/producer Gordon Kennedy

He wanted a head and cabinet with a more Vintage/traditional look to go with his nice vintage guitar and amp collection.

Gordon has most recently worked with Peter Frampton as a guitarist and co-producer on Peter's latest album "Fingerprints" as well as appearing on many tour dates and trading licks on stage with Mr. Frampton.

Peter and Gordon won Grammy's this year for best pop instrumental album. Gordon also won a Grammy in 1997 for his writing credit on the song "Change The World" as sung by Eric Clapton and featured in the hit film Phenomenon.

All of our cabs feature a unique approach to speaker cables; we build into each cab a heavy duty high end cable soldered directly to the speakers. No more lost or "borrowed" speaker cables! The only way for it to be unplugged is to INTENTIONALLY unplug it, no way to trip on it or snag it from behind. Just another way to "dummy proof" our amps...

Our amplifiers are 100% hand wired using carefully selected high quality components that allow our amps to have the great tone and high performance we demand. Most components are over-spec, and some are WAAY over spec; our aim is to never see an amp come in for repair! Custom Transformers and Film caps help shape our unique circuit design.
